Security features
- Bootloader, operating system, and firmware form a “Trusted Computing Platform” with automatic integrity checks during system startup
- DynamicWorkplace-CONs do not store security-relevant information such as login credentials, which could be extracted in the event of device loss
- Freeze function: If the video signal is lost, the last displayed image is frozen and highlighted with a colored frame and timer
- Early detection of security incidents or unusual activities through continuous monitoring via Syslog, monitoring, and SNMP
- Redundant network interface
- 2-Factor-Authentication (2FA) – is available via the KVM matrix system with DynamicWorkplace-CON and enhances security by requiring a second, possession-based factor during user authentication:
- The traditional password authentication is combined with a time-limited, single-use code (Time-Based-One-Time-Password – TOTP)
- You can choose between using the internal authentication server provided in the device or an external directory service
- Authenticator apps or hardware token can be used
- This additional layer of protection prevents unauthorized access and ensures the highest level of security, particularly in sensitive IT environments
Operation features
- Configuration and update via the multilingual HTML5 web interface “Config Panel 21” (Java-free)
- Simultaneous display of available KVM inputs (transmission channels) in up to 16 windows, with each window showing either the original channel or a mirrored view.
- Intuitive operation and arrangement of windows, computer modules and presets or layouts via a window manager (graphical user interface).
- The windows on the display area can be arranged either in fixed grids or freely
- The windows can be scaled proportionally
- The windows offer direct user interaction via their title bar
- Different operating modes:
- Free mode: The windows can be moved, scaled and arranged freely – without a fixed grid, for maximum flexibility
- Swap mode: A window/source can swap places with another window/source using the mouse to quickly highlight important content without changing the layout/grid
- Integration into the existing matrix remote control API for controlling the device
- The image output can be rotated in 90° steps, whereby this setting can be made individually for each monitor
- The exclusive signals can be received and sent flexibly between different channels at runtime. Allocation is either static, based on a window defined by the user, or automatic. In automatic mode, the signal is switched to the channel currently in the operating focus after a short delay

- Transm. Redundancy Option (comparable to UC/CON-2; in preparation): Devices are prepared for transmission redundancy without additional hardware and can be activated via software feature key.
- Support for all common video signals, thanks to a wide selection of matrix-compatible KVM extenders, which can be integrated as end devices in matrix operation in a “mixed” configuration (Mix & Match). Video transmission is performed using bluedec™ – G&D’s advanced, multi-stage, lossless compression – delivering pixel-perfect, lossless video quality with near-zero latency.
