Adder ADDERLink Overview
he AdderLink X-USB PRO MS KVM Extender from Adder transmits audio, input, and video signals up to 984.3′ away from a computer system, so you can remotely work at a different location. The X-USB Pro comes with a local module that connects to a computer’s USB, audio, and two VGA ports, allowing the included remote module to support up to two VGA-enabled monitors, four USB devices, and a pair of speakers. The AdderLink X-USB PRO MS extender utilizes two optional CAT 5, 5e, 6, 7, or 7a networking cables to support 1920 x 1200 resolutions, stereo sound, as well as USB 2.0 speeds. In addition to the remote features, the local unit provides an extra set of video and audio interfaces, so you can work right next to the host computer system with a second set of monitors and speakers.

High-definition Precision Video
The X-USBPRO-MS2 KVM extension system supports crisp and clear industry leading VGA video – high resolution 1920 x 1200 is achievable at up to 300 meters (1000ft). This is achievable by including a variable noise filter which overcomes issues introduced by increased gain as the length of the cable increases over 200 meters (650ft).
Video compensation
A Multi-pole compensation technique is used to enable superb video quality at maximum distance over a single cable. For the first time, adjustment can be made for cable type and cable length with further color skew compensation and gain adjustment to ensure crystal clear images, all from the receiver’s keyboard.
4-Port transparent USB 2.0 Hub (Low, Full, High Speed)
The X-USB extends USB 2.0 (low and full speed) allowing all USB compatible accessories (including isochronous devices) to be extended. The receiver unit has a built in 4 port USB hub to enable a complete desktop to be located remotely, including a keyboard, monitor, mouse, diskdrive, flash memory stick, webcam, and any other device that would normally be plugged into your computer’s USB port.
Local Feed-through Port
For local control of the connected computer, the ADDERLink X-USBPRO-MS2 also provides local feed trough ports for audio and video at the transmitter unit.
Emulated 2 Page DDC EDID
This X-USBPRO-MS2 extender supports full two page DDC EDID, which some high performance video cards require or they will not deliver optimal performance or work at all.
Dual User Configuration
Two X-USB PRO units can be linked to a single computer so two users can access the computer at exactly the same time. When using two sets of X-USB PRO modules to allow two users to access a single computer the arbitration between the users is handled by the USB sub-system of the computer – resulting keyboard and mouse influences will be an amalgam of the two inputs.
Bidirectional CD-quality audio
2 channel 16 bit stereo audio sampled at 44.1KHz (CD quality) is transferred from local to remote for a line out / speakers use case.
High density rack mount option
Both transmitter and receiver units can be used stand-alone or up to 8 units to can be mounted into a 2U 19″ chassis (X-RMK-CHASSIS).
Fully platform independent
The ADDER X-USBPRO-MS2 supports fully transparent USB connections and is able to support all common hardware platforms including PC, Sun and MAC and their associated peripherals.
Plug and Play
Installation is straightforward and there is no need for any extra drivers or software to be installed.
